Hopgoblin American IPA: 6.5% ABV, 83 IBUs, 8 SRM

Hopgoblin American IPAThis hoppy nectar features a solid malt backbone supporting an aggressive West Coast hop presence. Citrusy aromas and flavors come through as a result of dry hopping. The mischevious Hopgoblin American IPA  will definitely satisfy your hophead cravings!

Man’s Best Friend American-style Honey Kölsch: 4.0 ABV, 20 IBUs, 5.9 SRM

MansBestFriend_AmericanKolsch_TopProfileEveryone needs a best friend and Man’s Best Friend American Kölsch sure fits that bill. Riff Raff’s interpretation of the strictly regulated Kölsch style produced authentically only by about 20 breweries in Köln, Germany is always approachable and always agreeable.

A clean, crisp, pale golden-yellow delicately balanced beer with a pure white head and very subtle honey flavors and aromas. Subdued maltiness throughout leads to a pleasantly refreshing finish. Easy drinkin’ and easy to get along with – just like Man’s other Best Friend! Fantastic and thirst-quenching after a day on the slopes or on a hot summer afternoon in the beer garden.

Plebeian Porter: 5.5% ABV, 38 IBUs, 32.6 SRM

Plebeian PorterOur Plebeian Porter is a true beer for the masses. Dark and smooth, this beauty has a rich, roasty aroma with the familiar hints of caramel and chocolate contributed by the dark-roasted malts. A medium alcohol content allows the opportunity to have one (or three!)  with your fellow hoi polloi, riff raff and plebeians. Drinking the Plebeian Robust Porter definitely makes you unique…just like everyone else.

Skallywag English Pale: 5.5% ABV, 47 IBUs, 12.3 SRM

Skallywag English PaleRiff Raff Brewing’s Skallywag English Pale combines sweet maltiness with floral, earthy noble English hops to reach a balance achieved by few since the weeble wobble. This well-balanced ale provides a depth of caramel sweetness and fruity aromas that support a pleasing hoppiness. Brewed to honor the roots of the IPA and other hop bombs, the Skallywag satisfies all that ales you!

Stepchild American Red: 6.0% ABV, 41 IBUs, 16.5 SRM

Stepchild American RedOur Stepchild American Red Ale is quite different from a traditional Irish Red. This beer celebrates the popular hop-addict influence with a deep red color and sweet maltiness. Fresh citrusy hops and a sweet malty aroma make this beer similar to an American IPA but with more coffee-like roastiness with a beautiful red hue, just like your favorite stepchild. This medium-alcohol beer of approximately fits perfectly into the Riff Raff Brewing Company beer portfolio.

Riff Raff Brewing Company logoSpanish for “The Goblin”, this pale ale-base elixir has pounds of Anaheim peppers added straight to the boil. The resulting beer encompasses all the best of Southwest Colorado with an intriguing, addicting, prevalent flavor profile containing just the right amount of kick!

*99 Shilling Scottish Ale: 6.8% ABV, 30 IBUs, 18.1 SRM

Riff Raff’s spin on a traditional Scottish Ale leads with malty sweetness backed by caramel and toffee notes. The playful body ends with a nice lingering sweetness that dries out quickly.

I got 99 problems and beer solves all of them.

*Spruce Juice Ale: 6.4% ABV, 32 IBUs, 7 SRM

Olde Ale base, this colonial style recipe uses the new growth harvested from spruce trees to be used right in the boil of the brew. This leaves a finish that is often characterized as pine, melon, mint or spice. It’s a wonderful, unique flavor experience, and hey, it can even help cure scurvy!

* Weapon of Self Destruction Russian Imperial Stout: 9.7% ABV, 99 IBUs, 42 SRM

Big, black, thick and smooth, the malt bill alone would impress the gnarliest of czars, but the hops to back it up are right there too, of course.  A diverse selection of dark malts create roasted coffee, chocolate, and hints of plumb and raisin on the finish. – выпивать додна! (translated: drink up, drink to the dregs!)

*Holy Schnitzel Doppelbock: 7.9% ABV, 21 IBUs, 16 SRM

A big, malty, sweet Bavarian lager that will prove to be a thirst quencher from cold winter evenings to hot summer days.

Pennsyltucky Pale Ale: 6.2% ABV, 40 IBUs, 4 SRM

A golden/straw colored ale aggressively dry hopped exclusively with Mosaic featuring explosive tropical fruit aromas of stonefruit, mango, grapefruit, tangerine and blueberry.                          Mosaic, El Dorado, Citra

The Hop Maverick: 5.8% ABV, 38 IBUs, 14 SRM

This hop forward interpretation of an American Amber Ale has a medium body with subtle malt sweetness and a lightly resinous citrus hop character.  Centennial, Chinook, Citra

Apricot Blonde: 5% ABV, 15 IBUs, 3 SRM

A smooth crisp light bodied blonde conditioned on apricot puree.

The 400th: 6.2% ABV, 48 IBUs, 5 SRM

Our 400th batch brewed here at Riff Raff! This pale ale was aggressively dry hopped with Citra and Idaho 007 for a tropical fruit aroma and crisp resinous finish.

Orranged Marriage: 4.9% ABV, 13 IBUs, 3.5 SRM

Belgian style Wit aged on four pounds of orange peel for a subtle orange finish.

*Black Cherry Porter: 5.5% ABV, 38 IBUs, 32.6 SRM

Using the flagship Plebeian Porter as a palette, Riff Raff’s brewers dress up this beer by adding black cherry to complement the roasty, chocolaty notes resident in the base porter.

*Spirited Lass Strong Scotch Ale: 8.5% ABV, 33 IBUs, 26 SRM

Rich and malty, this Lass is stronger than you might expect!  She’s sweet, but she can also put you on the floor if you aren’t careful. Complex malts create a smooth, caramel characteristics with dark fruit flavors lingering on the finish.  We aged her on Scotch oak spirals to give an extra amount of heft!

Deranged Fruition New England Style IPA: 6.5% ABV, 63 IBUs, 8 SRM

Tropical and juicy, this NE style IPA has full hop aroma and flavor from 11 lbs of dry hopping using Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic.  It’s malt bill contains 19% flaked wheat, contributing to it’s creamy mouthfeel and smooth finish.

*Sut’s Faux-Kanee American LAGER: 4.4% ABV, 13 IBUs, 3 SRM

Brewed in honor of our dear friend Colin Sutton, this American Lager is based off the popular Canadian Lager, Kokanee.  Clean, smooth, approachable with a crisp finish, this beer is the perfect complement to a day spent outdoors!

*The Oatlaw Coffee Oatmeal Stout: 7.0% ABV, 35 IBUs, 39 SRM

We took our rich, roasty and full-bodied classic stout and added a fun twist!  Aged on fresh coarsely ground dark French roast coffee, this Oatlaw still finishes nice and smooth with roasty coffee notes.

*Not-Sober-Fest Oktoberfest: 4.9% ABV, 29 IBUs, 13 SRM

Brewed with German tradition and heritage in mind, this beer is made with 100% German ingredients. The Pilsen grains leave a classic soft malt flavor lasting throughout with just a hint of German hops on the finish. Prost!

*Cranberry Spruce Juice Ale: 7.5% ABV, 36 IBUs, 16 SRM

An Olde Ale base with locally harvested spruce tips added straight to the boil, fermented and then aged on over 80lbs of cranberry.  Bursting with flavor, this beer comes alive with hints of citrus, spruce, and cranberry, followed up with a nice and crisp finish!  We also teamed up with our pals at Three Barrel Brewing in Del Norte, CO for collaboration brew of this beer!

*The Wicked Stepmother Imperial American Red Ale: 9.3% ABV, 55 IBUs. 23 SRM

This beer will slap you over the head – but only if you let it.  Brewed with loads of Caramel, Vienna and roasted specialty malts to back up the loads of Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops, this is one hoppy beer to be reckoned with…you might say it’s wicked good!

Plum Wheat: 5.0% ABV, 40 IBUs, 3.9 SRM

An American wheat ale, this light, refreshing and crisp beer was aged on plums for a slight tart finish!

Wet Hopped Pale Ale: 6.0% ABV, 40 IBUs, 4 SRM

An all Colorado “wet hop” beer, meaning the hops were harvested and went into the brew within 24 hours, giving it a fresh hop forward taste.  This light pale ale was brewed with Colorado hops from Pine River Hop Farm in Bayfield and malts from Colorado Malting Co. in Alamosa. We even threw in a little bit of peaches from Hotchkiss to add a subtle twist!

Misfit Wit: 5.0% ABV, 18 IBU, 4 SRM

With a mild orange and coriander aroma, this Witbier finishes with a pleasant malt character and a slightly tart, crisp finish.

Session Citra IPA: 4.5% ABV, 35 IBUs, 7 SRM

A specialty Pale Ale brewed with only Citra hops, this is a nice, bright session beer that pops with grapefruit and lemon from the hops. Very low on the bitterness but big on the hoppy drinkability, this is what many are calling a “Session IPA.”

Tart Cherry Blonde Ale: 4% ABV, 18 IBUs, 4 SRM

This light bodied Blonde Ale was aged on Montmorency tart cherries to give it a nice, subtle cherry aroma that starts off sweet and then has a slightly tart finish.

Tears in Rain: 4.1% ABV, 19 IBUs, 5 SRM

This light bodied English Premium Bitter was brewed in honor of Riff Raff’s friend Paul Ogg, to help him offset the costs of undergoing lymphoma cancer treatment. A nice malt aroma is followed with a clean, crisp finish and mellow hints of hops. Very little bitterness and light esters from the English yeast strain, this beer is very sessionable – perfect for ushering in the warming days of Spring.

Sorachi Ace Single Hop: 5.1% ABV, 51 IBUs, 5 SRM

Sorachi Ace hops were developed by the Sapporo Brewery in Japan and used in their beers. This single hop beer uses only Sorachi Ace to highlight the lemon / lemongrass characteristics of this unique hop.

Hespie Amber: 5.6% ABV, 28 IBUs, 18 SRM

Brewed with hops from the experimental hop farm in Hesperus near Durango, we brewed this amber using Cascade, Nugget and Vanguard hops all grown locally.

A light fruity hop nose with hints of toasted caramel malts, this light amber colored beer finishes crisp and dry.

Cherry Ann Adele Pale Ale: 6.6% ABV, 17 IBUs, 11 SRM

We took our Ann Adele Pale Ale, a delightfully smooth, creamy pale ale accentuated with a bright hop aroma, and aged in Montmorency tart cherries.  With very little bitterness and a nice balance between sweet malt and tart cherry, it is clean and enjoyable all the way through.

 Tilted Lass Strong Scotch Ale: 8.5% ABV, 33 IBUs, 26 SRM

Rich and malty, this Lass is stronger than you might expect!  She’s sweet, but she can also put you on the floor if you aren’t careful. Complex malts create a smooth, caramel characteristics with dark fruit flavors lingering on the finish.

Old Man Winter Warmer: 8.6% ABV, 32 IBUs, 20 SRM

This is an Old Ale base, brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, fresh ground ginger, and molasses.  A darker, thicker beer, it comes on sweet and finishes dry with pleasant spices on the nose.  A perfect warmer for the winter!

Ann Adele Pale Ale: 6.6% ABV, 17 IBUs, 11 SRM

Brewer Matt’s first original recipe here at Riff Raff, this beer is a delightfully smooth, creamy pale ale accentuated with a bright hop aroma.  With very little bitterness, it is clean and enjoyable all the way through.

Los Piños Wet Hop: 4.9% ABV, 39 IBUS, 7 SRM

A bright, light bodied ale with beautiful floral and lemon aromas and low bitterness. Our hops came from our neighbors at Pine River hop farm in Bayfield, CO. The Cascade and Chinook hops were harvested off the vine and brewed within 24 hours of harvesting creating a fresh, unique hop profile.

El Duende Hatch Fire Roasted Green Chile: 4.8 % ABV, 36 IBUs, 7 SRM

A Spanish term for “The Goblin,” El Duende adds some spice to your life. With this version we took a bunch of freshly fire roasted Hatch chile peppers and threw them right into the boil. Similar to our standard El Duende but with a bit more punch.

Centennial Session Single-hop IPA: 3.5% ABV, 27 IBUs, 6.3 SRM

A bright and crisp, sessionable India Pale Ale. We have taken out the bitterness and lowered the alcohol content and then profiled floral and slightly citrusy characteristics of Centennial hops used throughout the brewing process – perfect for warm summer days!

Black HOPs Black IPA: 5.9% ABV, 63 IBUs, 25 SRM

Also knows as a Cascadian Dark Ale, this has the hoppy profile of an IPA but is darker in color and has a prominent roasted character due to the addition of dark malts.

Honey Choke Cherry Cream Ale: 4.5% ABV, 36 IBUs, 5 SRM

We started with a traditional light bodied Cream Ale with the addition of pure, raw honey and then aged it on Choke Cherry Blossoms for a nice, subtle flower aroma.

Pagos-ah Pilsner: 4.5% ABV, 25 IBUs. 3 SRM

The ancient Utess called it Pagosah, basically meaning “healing waters.”  This is a light bodied lager brewed with a splash of the water taken directly out of the Pagosah Hot Springs. Now THIS is some of Pagosa’s finest healing water!
